Domenic Benvenuto

Domenic is the founder and chairman of Marksx.

As a former lawyer, Domenic’s career began as an Associate to His Honour Kenneth Marks, AM, QC a former judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the first judge to preside over the Commercial List. In recognition of His Honours mentorship and guidance throughout his legal career, Domenic named his current company after His Honour.

Domenic was the first reader with former Federal Court judge His Honour John Middleton, KC and thereafter signed the Bar Roll as a Barrister. Domenic was then appointed General Counsel at Holding Redlich Lawyers a specialized property and entertainment law firm.

As a finance lawyer with over 35 years’ experience, Domenic has amassed over $600M AUD of property projects, with the highlight of developing with EMKC, Newcold’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Victoria with an end value of $275M AUD.

Domenic utilizes a philosophy and culture of developing creative and financially secure long-term partnerships with people, government and companies in property and media.

Domenic has an extensive knowledge of infrastructure requirements for the film and television industry by chairing an industry consortia’s submissions to 2 state government tenders in Victoria and West Australia for the development of film and television studios. The infrastructure consortia is also actively in discussions with government and private stakeholders for the establishment of world class film and television studios in New South Wales and Queensland.

Domenic has been involved as Executive Producer in international motion pictures, Better Man, Ricky Stanicky, Blacklight, Hacksaw Ridge, The Longest Shot, 2:22, Rampart, One Perfect Day and The Fourth Magi.

Domenic is also director of Cosmos Pictures and First Option Pictures.
